    The SDC International, ISFT and KDCL have collaborated to create their mission to showcase the following

    • To put forward challenges for textile professionals in colour communication, colouration and compliance
    • To encourage collaborations between fashion and textile colouration
    • To provide a platform for innovators, users and compliance organisation to engage in collaborate for a ‘greener’ colouration industry.

    About SDC International: The SDC International is a fully owned subsidiary of Society of Dyers and Colourists. The SDC is the outstanding provider of colour education, offering a range of internationally recognised coloration courses and qualifications. Our mission is to educate the changing world in the science of colour. Founded in 1884, the SDC became a registered charity in 1962 and was awarded a Royal Charter in 1963. The SDC remains the only organisation in the world able to award the Chartered Colourist status.     About ITMACH India 2019 – ITMACH India, which is a successful international textile machinery exhibition in India and supported by leading textile industry trade journal Textile Excellence International http://www.itmach.com/project/itmach-india-2019/

    We expect the machine manufacturers to take a lead in providing solutions to more sustainable manufacturing of textiles. Machines are the tools that can shape the colouration process in way that it delivers the best outcome.

    However knowledge of how the machine works and the skills needed to make it work at the most efficient level needs training. The SDC Internationals with its mission to educate the changing world in the science of colour intends to target this need. With collaboration with one of the most esteemed organisation it would deliver three courses via the online education platform:

    • Certificate of Colour Management of Textiles (Competency Course). Module 1: Principles of Colour Development, Assessment, Communication and Approval, Module 2: Practical visual colour assessment of textiles, Module 3: Practical instrumental colour assessment of textiles.
    • Colour Fastness Testing of Textiles – Certificate of Appreciation.
    • Introduction to Coloration: Fibres to Coloured Fabrics – Certificate of Attendance.

    In order to execute the above mission the trio will above mission. The trio will organise five events. The events are as below:

    5th Dec 2019:  

    Theme:  Colour Communication.

    Colour includes one of the most complex components light and brain. Confusions in colour assessments are possible if best practices are not followed. In order to get informed about the best practices and innovations that led authentic, repeatable & accurate colour assessments, you will need to learn from the experts in the field. We are on a mission to get you the best available experts. We call upon designers, merchandisers, quality control, dyers, fashion forecasters, trend forecasters, and academia to enroll and benefit from this unique opportunity .We look forward to meeting you at the event.

    6th Dec 2019:  

    Theme: Investigating technologies for Innocuous textile manufacturing by Dyers and Colourists’ 

    This event provides a unique opportunity to anyone connected with colour and colouration to present their innovations to the leaders in the industry. We call students/professionals/academia’s across the globe to apply with their research papers/ideas/suggestions to an esteemed panel consisting of experts in the field of colour physics, colouration, compliance and trade. The panel would provide unbiased advice to SDC International regarding the quality of the submissions and their proximity to be a successful business idea. We call upon designers, merchandisers, quality control, dyers, fashion forecasters, trend forecasters, and academia to enroll and benefit from this unique opportunity.

    7th Dec 2019:  

    Theme: ‘Colouring without Guilt’

    “It is isn’t for the scientist to dictate the world, it is for the scientist to declare to the world, What they see and then allow people to make up their mind”- Sir Attenborough to BBC. These words are very relevant to the current situation of increased pollution levels from the textile colouration industry .The textile colouration industry has to introspect about their current technologies of colouration. The awareness seems to be on the higher side where manufacturing is done by conscious and informed colourist. However bulk of manufacturing is also done for local brands and domestic consumption where there is huge opportunity to create awareness about the harmful effects of banned dyes and chemicals and efficient innovative manufacturing processes. This event intends to bridge this gap of awareness between to two ends of awareness. We call upon designers, merchandisers, quality control, dyers, fashion forecasters, trend forecasters, and academia to enroll and benefit from this unique opportunity .We look forward to meeting you at the event.

    Theme:  How did I get here?

    We would invite professionals from fashion and design industry who have contributed to uplift the bench marks for sustainability, design innovations and reach for traditional art/products .The mission is to provide an insight into their experience on the path leading them to what they are. It is a never before opportunity to meet the professionals in person and hear their stories delivered by them. We call upon designers, merchandisers, quality control, dyers, fashion forecasters, trend forecasters, and academia to enroll and benefit from this unique opportunity .We look forward to meeting you at the event.
