  • The SDC Sri Lanka Region are hosting this free event at the Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa, Homagama on Tuesday 27th November.

  • Mr Suneth De Silva
    As a member of the MAS Group’s Central Sustainability Team, Suneth drives the Chemical Management Work Stream within MAS Holdings. His work includes ZDHC Benchmark and improvement of MAS facilities by conducting chemical audits, water & chemical testing, improving chemical management, finding alternative sustainable chemicals, and seeking out hazardous chemicals in the production process.
    His job also entails seeking out sustainable alternatives and innovating industry specific solutions & to help MAS select safer chemicals for compliance and improve overall Chemical Management by developing new guidelines, conducting awareness and developing MAS’s own Restricted Substances List, Chemical Auditing tools, Policies, Water testing guidelines, and Chemical testing protocols, etc.

    Graduated in chemistry, MBA (UK), Voting Member of Society of Dyers and Colourists, having more than 20 years’ experience in Textile Dyeing and Finishing, specialized in colour management training (UK trained), lean manufacturing and continuous improvements.

    Ms Apsara Setu Hew
    Fashion designer/Product innovator.
    Apsara is an alumnus of University of Moratuwa holding a bachelor’s degree in fashion design and product development. With over 10 years’ experience in export apparel industry as well as local retail fashion, she has worked in design, innovation, co-creation and product development for multiple international brands.
