Ireland Heat of the International Design Competition 2015

  • Friday 19th June 2015 @ The Harry Clarke Room, NCAD Dublin.

    Entries are invited for the Ireland Regional judging Heat of our 2015 competition themed ‘Buy Less, Choose well’.  Students are invited to bring their design boards along and present their work to the judging panel of industry professionals including:

    • Berni Raeside – Textile Designer, Detta Textiles
    • Judith Neilly – Group Design/ product Development Manager- Thomas Fergusons Irish Linen

    In collaboration with NCAD and ID2015, guest speakers from the fashion/textile and jewellery industry  will talk about the use of colour in their work.  The relationship between colour, material, process and production and the aesthetic, symbolic and environmental impacts of colour are some of the considerations explored in the presentations by:

    • Jaki Coffey
    • Jennifer Rothwell
    • Rachel Tuffy
    • Olga Tierman
