The London sections of The Textile Institute & The Society of Dyers & Colourists are hosting a seminar on Friday 12 April 2013.

- David Lussey of Peratech, winner of AV Technologist of the Year 2013, will speak about smart textiles, wearable electronics and touch technology.
- John Murphy of Huntsman will be talking about Huntsman’s collaboration with Dyecoo to develop waterless dyeing. He will also talk about new approaches to cellulosic dyeing and fabric finishes such as Stormwear.
- Cheryl Kindness of Camira Fabrics will present new developments in bast fibres, new closed loop polyester products and Camira Fabric’s work with Beyond Surface Technology on soil resistant finishes.
- Jim Taylor, Senior Product Manager at Lenzing will discuss their developments in man made cellulose fibres from sustainable sources. They will also discuss the closed loop eco-friendly production of Tencel, and the solvent spinning process.
